EIAA Review Path

Reliance Integrity Review

A focused EIAA review pathway for decision environments where a record, approval, release, workflow, handover, or inherited condition is now being relied upon by others.

Focused Review

What A Reliance Integrity Review Is

A Reliance Integrity Review helps an organization examine whether the basis behind a decision environment remains clear enough for the reliance now being placed on it.

It applies where a record, approval, release, workflow, handover condition, AI-supported action, or inherited file is no longer only an internal record. It is now carrying weight for another party, function, transaction, assurance process, lender, insurer, buyer, board, or successor holder.

The review focuses on whether the decision basis remains explainable as the record begins to support later reliance.

Reliance Pressure

When Reliance Becomes The Issue

Reliance pressure often appears after the original decision moment has passed. A record that once served as evidence of action may later be asked to support assurance, transaction review, financing, warranty, claims, audit, investigation, or inherited responsibility.

Condition 01

Transaction Or Transfer Reliance

A buyer, partner, lender, insurer, investor, or successor holder may rely on a prior decision environment during review, transfer, financing, valuation, or diligence.

Condition 02

Warranty Or Claims Reliance

A release, acceptance, closure, exception, or handover condition may later support warranty defense, claims review, or commercial dispute pressure.

Condition 03

Audit Or Assurance Reliance

A decision record may be used by audit, assurance, compliance, control, or review functions to support later conclusions.

Condition 04

Operational Reliance

A downstream team may continue acting on an earlier decision, approval, release, exception, or classification without the full original context.

Condition 05

AI Or Automation Reliance

A system-shaped action, AI-supported route, model-assisted recommendation, or automated workflow may now be relied upon as part of a decision path.

Condition 06

Inherited Responsibility

A later owner, board, manager, buyer, lender, insurer, or successor function may inherit the burden of explaining a decision made earlier.

Review Focus

What The Review Examines

The Reliance Integrity Review focuses on the relationship between the visible record and the burden now placed on it.

  • The decision environment now being relied upon
  • The record, approval, release, workflow, or condition carrying reliance
  • The authority basis that appears to support the decision
  • The evidence and review conditions connected to the record
  • The party, function, or process now relying on the decision environment
  • The pressure created by audit, assurance, transaction, warranty, claims, financing, investigation, or inherited responsibility
  • Whether the matter should move into a deeper EIAA Review

Reliance Conditions

Common Reliance Conditions

Reliance 01

Record Complete, Reliance Burden Higher

The record exists, but the burden now placed on it is heavier than the original decision environment appears to support.

Reliance 02

Release Relied Upon Later

A release, acceptance, closure, shipment, or handover condition becomes important after the original action moved.

Reliance 03

Approval Used Beyond Its Original Context

An approval begins supporting later action, assurance, transaction review, or executive reliance beyond the original decision setting.

Reliance 04

Exception Carried Forward

An exception or deviation becomes part of the operating record and is later relied upon by another party or function.

Reliance 05

Automated Output Treated As Basis

A system output, routing decision, model-assisted recommendation, or automated action becomes part of the basis others rely on.

Reliance 06

Inherited File Under Pressure

A later holder receives the record and must explain earlier action without the full preserved basis.

Reliance Environments

Where Reliance Pressure Appears

Environment 01

Manufacturing And Quality Systems

Release, acceptance, deviation, closure, rework, specification, and handover decisions may later carry audit, warranty, or customer reliance.

Environment 02

Banking And Financial Controls

Approvals, overrides, liquidity actions, financial controls, model-supported decisions, and exception routes may later support assurance, examination, or board reliance.

Environment 03

Infrastructure And Energy Operations

Handover, acceptance, commissioning, field decisions, operating conditions, and project records may later support financing, claims, insurance, or successor responsibility.

Environment 04

Clinical Trial Systems

Deviation, eligibility, continuation, safety, protocol, and review-path decisions may later face sponsor, regulator, IRB, monitor, or subject-safety reliance.

Environment 05

AI-Supported Workflows

Agentic systems, automated triage, model-assisted recommendations, routing, evidence assembly, and human-review pathways may later need explainable authority basis.

Environment 06

Transactions And Successor Environments

Buyers, lenders, insurers, boards, investors, successor holders, or new management teams may inherit decisions whose basis must still be explainable.

Review Output

What The Organization Receives

Output 01

Reliance Summary

A concise account of the decision environment and the reliance now attached to it.

Output 02

Decision Basis View

A structured view of the basis behind the record, approval, release, workflow, or inherited condition.

Output 03

Reliance Pressure View

A focused account of who or what now relies on the record and what burden that reliance places on the decision basis.

Output 04

Recommended EIAA Route

A recommendation on whether the matter should remain a focused reliance review or move toward reconstruction, exposure briefing, or deeper EIAA Review.

Starting Point

How To Choose The Right Starting Point

If the issue is broad or still forming, begin with an Exposure Briefing. If a specific decision environment has already moved and now needs an initial account, begin with a Decision Basis Reconstruction Brief. If the central issue is reliance by another party, function, transaction, assurance process, or successor holder, begin with a Reliance Integrity Review. If later reliance depends on software logic, rules, scripts, automation, or legacy system behavior, Execution Authority Review may be the better route.

Next Step

When A Record Begins Carrying Reliance

A Reliance Integrity Review helps an organization examine whether the basis behind a decision environment remains clear enough for the reliance, review, assurance, transaction pressure, or inherited responsibility now attached to it.
